Boycott the newspapers!
A cause everyone can support
Anybody who is a consumer has the power to boycott. We are in reality empowering ourselves when we say to the mainstream media (MSM): “We refuse to buy into your lies. Therefore we’re not buying newspapers.”
Newspapers are enablers allowing Malaysia’s ancien regime to sustain its self-serving shaping of our world. We believe that civil society is informed enough to protest against being brainwashed by MSM disinformation.
The newspapers claim Hindraf are violent and racist troublemakers. Well, we know who the real racists and troublemakers are. The newspapers claim police did not use force against Indians at Batu Caves on the eve of the Hindraf rally. Photographs show the Indians herded behind the temple gates, locked in, gassed to tears and doused with chemical-laced water.
When our authorities bully the most marginalized of communities, and newspapers blacken these victims of marginalization, then our country has reached a watershed. Civil society has no other choice but to be morally outraged over this spindoctoring.
The newspapers also misreported the numbers who supported Bersih in our capital city, saying few when there were many; they misreported the numbers who supported MIC’s show of force at Cheras stadium, saying many, many more than there really were.
MSM have lied too much on too many matters for too long. And they will keep on lying unless we tell them ‘Enough already!’
We are not breaking any law by making a personal decision not to buy newspapers.
We are not causing trouble nor promoting racial or religious disunity by boycotting newspapers. In fact, it is newspapers that are promoting a distorted communalism to keep their political masters – Malaysia’s racist political parties – in power, and us in a climate of fear. And the longer this parasitic power structure remains unchallenged, the more the lowest strata of society will be affected.
Because we are Malaysians with conscience and our conscience is rightly troubled by government mouthpieces spinning webs of deceit, The People’s Parliament is calling for Hartal.
We are all doing the conscionable thing to check the unrelenting and dangerous indoctrination by newspapers. This signature campaign is about how ‘we, the people’, can stand up and be counted. It’s about reclaiming Truth and taking our country back.

Patut lah pun........
Memang patut pun pihak Utusan tak layan tuntutan kakitangan2 ahli union NUJ tu.
patutlah diaorang buat liat sejak tahun lepas hingga sekarang tak dapat apa2 keputusan pun tercapai ...dek kerana mentality wartawan mereka yg ada sikit kureng (mungking juga banyak kureng kut?). Ya lah tahap pemikiran wartawan macam Siti Jarum itu pun sudah dapat kita kenalpasti betapa rendahnya tahap mentality dia orang. Hinggakan tuntutan Kenaikan Gaji Tahunan sebanyak RM5.00 pun dia orang rasa berat dan tak berbaloi untuk di luluskan. Nampak sangat betapa 'lembu'nya kakitangan2 Utusan tu ya?
Betul macam message dibawah ada sebut "The grass is always greener elsewhere ...."
kalau lembu2 yg bijak lagi cerdik sudah tentu tidak menongkoi mencarimakan dgn bergantung harap lagi dipadang rumput yg dah kering kontang tu i.e. dlm organisasi yg dikatakan mcm 'lintah darat' tu. Sudah tentu mereka akan berusaha dgn sedaya mungkin meninggalkan dan berambus pergi ketempat dimana 'rumput2 hijau' yg maseh segar bugar serta subur di padang ragut yg baru.
Dipihak majikan pula .....Mungking juga ongkos nya kurang untuk diberi kenaikan kpd semua tuntutan itu...ini juga ada kebenaran dgn fakta hasil jualan akhbar yg semakin merosot ...sudah tidak laku dipasaran........kerana semakin ramai orang memboikotnya ....
Ya tak iya lah .... Bagaimana mau laku? sebabnya kena boikot ..... kerna apa boikot?
Oh! boikot sebab beritanya banyak diputar2....dibelit2......dipusing2....dikelentonging....

kemaskini 6.48pm Selepas gagal mengadakan piket di perhimpunan agung Umno bulan lalu, Kesatuan Kebangsaan Wartawan (NUJ) Utusan Melayu ke Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) hari ini.
Isunya bukan kegagalan rundingan tentang perjanjian bersama (CA) wartawan akhbar Umno itu dengan majikannya tetapi mengenai harga tiang gol yang didakwa terlalu mahal.
"Kita (wartawan) sendiri telah ke sana dan melihat tiang gol tersebut, ia adalah tiang yang biasa, tiada pun tandatangan (David) Beckham dan (Didier) Drogba di atasnya," kata pengerusi NUJ berkenaan Amran Ahmad kepada Malaysiakini tengah hari tadi.

Bercakap kepada pemberita selepas aduan tersebut, Amran menjelaskan, mereka meminta isu pembelian set tiang gol – merangkumi dua tiang dan pagar halangan – yang berharga lebih RM160,000 disiasat.
Selain memberikan keterangan, mereka turut menyerahkan dua invois berkaitan serta beberapa keping gambar tiang gol berkenaan untuk membantu siasatan....
Menurut satu invois itu, RM82,539.29 dibelanjakan untuk "cantilever steel support & goal post for CW1" dan satu lagi invois bernilai RM85,578.30 untuk "goal post fencing".
Amran berkata, pengurusan akhbar tersebut membeli set tiang gol untuk kegunaan padang bola di kilang percetakan Utusan Melayu (M) Bhd di Seberang Perai, Pulau Pinang pada 2006..
Dalam kenyataan bertulisnya kepada media, Amran mendakwa pembelian set tiang gol itu "paling mahal di dunia" dan "urus niaga luar biasa pengurusan atasan Utusan."
Usaha Malaysiakini mendapatkan penjelasan pengerusi syarikat itu Tan Sri Hashim Ahmad Makaruddin setakat ini belum berhasil.

Tuntutan NUJ Utusan bagi CA penggal 2008 hingga 2011, antaranya, pelarasan gaji sebanyak 10 peratus, kenaikan gaji tahunan RM5, tambahan elaun kenderaan sebanyak RM50 dan pengekalan faedah-faedah lain yang terkandung dalam CA itu.
Rundingan terbaru itu susulan CA lama yang telah tamat pada 31 Julai tahun lepas.
Kesatuan itu mewakili hampir 300 ahli yang terdiri daripada wartawan, jurugambar dan artis grafik yang menjadi nadi jabatan pengarang akhbar-akhbar kumpulan berkenaan - Utusan Malaysia, Mingguan Malaysia dan Kosmo!.
Ketika diminta mengulas perkembangan rundingan CA, Amran menyifatkan ia masih menemui "jalan buntu" setelah dua kali berunding bulan ini.

What a real pity ... after being exploited by their damn blood-sucker-employer viz Utusan Melayu Bhd. - still got the courage to uphold their defence towards their top bosses despite being treated like beggars (may be worse than that - slaves would be the right word). Wonder whether these people are actually scared or very much relying in their blood-sucking employer (Utusan Melayu Bhd) that they have to put a blind faith and kow-tow to their superiors. Pity ...what a real pity.
Further, she got the guts to bullshit those readers that only TV Malaysia (TV1 up to TV9 etc etc) are the only means to acquire knowledge and informations on this earth. As if there are no other means. What a damn bloody "cetet punya pemikiran". No wonder you're being "owned" by your damn blood-sucking bosses.
Pity them really. Even asking for increase in Annual Increment of RM5.00 in their salary, also damn so bloody difficult to get it approved. Yet they have no guts to counter for such a small asking ...... like that 10 percent Salary Adjustment, Annual Increment of RM5.00, additional Petrol Allowance of RM50.00 and other benefits - all those are nuts man .... kacang man .... kacang only ...

If you do some extra research (since you are all seems to be so good at that & looks like having some greymatter or graymatter something like that).....its better that you and all of you get new jobs of any peon or office boy or despatch rider or messenger that can earn more than RM5.00 in their annual increment per salary increase annually. And that amount of RM5.00 that you all want to beg from your damn blood-sucking employer (Utusan Melayu Bhd) ....Why don't you ask for increase of RM50.00 or RM100.00? Too scared to ask?
With just asking for RM5.00? please la ... don't behave like a street beggar .... you look worse than those beggars in the areas of Chow Kit Road even. Imagine! the amount of RM5..00 you are fighting days and nights since last year until now .... still cannot be resolved? ....

WE AS THE CONSUMERS ARE ALREADY GETTING FED-UP [WHEN EXPRESS IN BAHASA - JELAK - MUAK - BOSAN - CEMUIH - MELUAT - MENYAMPAH - DI AKHIRI DGN MENYUMPAH2] WITH OUR CURRENT TV (BE IT GOVT OR THOSE SWASTA - ALL THE SAME).
WHAT MAKES WE AS CONSUMERS REALLY GOT DAMN SORE WITH THEIR WAYS AND GO ABOUT WITH THEIR "PENYAMPAIAN MAKLUMAT & HIBURAN" ARE AS PER LISTED BELOW:

UMNO (THE OWNER OF THOSE TV STATIONS). THEREFORE MOST OF THE TIME WE GET BIAS AND UNFAIR BESIDES UNTRUE INFORMATIONS.
2) TV NEWS & INFORMATIONS MOSTLY BEING MANIPULATED, SPECULATED,
SPINNED and SIMPLY MADE TO "FEEL-GOOD" FACTOR WHICH TOTALLY WHAT
CAN BE EXPRESSED IN BAHASA - PEMBOHONGAN YANG KETARA.
3) MOST TV PRESENTERS ARE NOT UP TO STANDARD.
THAT INCLUDE MOST PENGACARA, HOSTS OF PROGRAMS & VARIETY SHOWS -
BE IT HIBURAN OR TALK-SHOWS (BUAL BICARA) OR FORUMS AND WHATNOT.
MOST OF THEM ARE USELESS BLOKES - MISBEHAVE & UNDISCIPLINE LOTS
(KURANG SOPAN & UP TO THE EXTENT OF 'KURANG AJAR') - VERY BAD FOR
THE NEWLY GROWING-UP GENERATIONS & FUTURE CITIZENS OF MALAYSIA.

IT IS VERY OBVIOUS THAT 'NAJIS DADAH' PLAY THE HIDDEN ROLE IN PROMOTING AND IN A WAY 'LEGALISE' THOSE "DRUGS HARD-CORE" ARTISTES (SINGERS & ROCK MUSIC GROUPS) TO BE OUR SO-CALLED ENTERTAINERS.
AND THEY ARE BEING IDOLISED LIKE SOMEONE REALLY SUPERIOR ... AND THAT'S WHAT IMPLICATES OUR YOUNG CHILDREN.
IMAGINE, WE ARE BEING ENTERTAINED BY THOSE 'SUBCONSCIOUS MIND' DRUG ADDICTS OR THOSE NOT IN THEIR NORMAL FORM (MORE CAN BE SAID AS "IN A TRANCE" STATE).
AND IT SEEMS THAT ALL IS WELL AND OKAY FOR ALL THE FUSS.
6) MOST OF THOSE PRESENTATIONS SHOWN ON TV SCREENS WHICH ARE
SUPPOSED TO BE IMPROMPTU (CANDID) ARE MERELY FIXED AND THEREFORE ARE UNREAL AND CAN BE CONSIDERED AS FAKE.
FOR THOSE VIEWERS WHO HAVE EXTRA KNOWLEDGE AND INTELLIGENCE OR WITH JUST MERE COMMON SENSE BEING APPLIED - MAY BE ABLE TO SENSE SUCH MISREPRESENTATIONS FROM THOSE TV SHOWS.
SO, PLEASE DON'T BULLSHIT TOO MUCH. (SIKIT2 WE CAN MISTAKEN IT AS
JOKES ..... BUT NOT TOO MUCH ... AND NOT TOO OFTEN (REPEATING)......
7) MOST OF YOUR TV PROGRAMS FROM ALL TV STATIONS ARE MORE OR LESS SIMILAR TO ONE ANOTHER.
MAY BE DUE TO TOO MANY RAMPANT COMPETITIONS WHICH CAUSE EVERY DAMN STUPID STATION STARTS JUMPING HERE AND THERE COMPETING AMONG ONE ANOTHER.
AND EVERY NOW AND THEN, THEY SEEM TO BE ANNOUNCING THAT THEIR STATION IS ALWAYS ON THE TOP.
IN THIS MATTER NO ONE AT THE BOTTOM. EVERYBODY (EVERY TV STATION) FOR THAT MATTER IS THE NUMBER ONE.
8) ON TOP OF THAT OUR IDIOT BOXES BRING US MORE MISERY RATHER THAN HAPPINESS.
WITH THAT IDIOT BOXES .... HAPPINESS MAY BE SHORT-LIVED...
BUT MISERY IS WAITING AT END OF THE ROAD.
9) TO SKIP THE BOREDOM .... STAY AWAY FROM THE IDIOT BOXES TOTALLY FOR GOOD.
THEN LIFE WILL BE WORTH LIVING AGAIN.

FOLLOWED BY A "MONTH-TO-MONTH CAMPAIGN ON TURN OFF THE TV".
BEFORE WE GO FOR THE TOTAL CUT-OFF.....JUST LIKE GOING FOR QUIT-SMOKING CAMPAIGN .....
AFTER ALL WE DO HAVE LOTS OF ALTERNATIVE NOW ....
AND THE BEAT GOES ON ........
LET THIS BE MADE KNOWN TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF EVERYONE OF THOSE CONCERNED ESPECIALLY THE NEW MINISTER OF INFORMATION (PLEASE DON'T MAKE PEOPLE i.e. WE AS CONSUMERS THINK THAT THE MEANING OF "KEMENTERIAN PENERANGAN" DOESN'T SUIT THE NAME - AS IN BAHASA "PENERANGAN" MEANS TO ENLIGHTEN - MENERANG FROM THE ROOT WORD "TERANG".
