Blog @RTM1 - Sun: 20/07/08 Hosted by Chamil Warya.
What a kind of character this blogger is. One kind lah that chap. The so-called Selamba Kodok.
He wannabe some sort of a "penggiat seni" of a kind as what has been mentioned or uttered by the host. How can this host (dunno what sort of calibre of journalist this bloke is) since he seems to acknowledge the guest blogger to be some sort of a 'wannabe P.Ramlee'. Can anyone imagine this bloke who is just in the middle of nowhere, all of a sudden wanna claim that he is so good at this and that - almost going to be like that of our "Seniman Agung" P.Ramlee. What a dream! You can sing that song "To dream the impossible dream". Well! about our Seniman Agung - P.Ramlee is totally a versatile artist of almost all fields that he did cover - and no one in this era yet can be taken as even half of him.
He is a "JACK-OF-ALL-TRADE" - and MASTER OF ALL. That's what VERSATILITY really means.
Yet some jackass out-of-the-blues wannabe like him - so-called "Jackass-of-certain-trade" but Master of NONE.
Dear Selamba Kodok, Please bear that in mind - or in your thick skull - and that host by the name of Chamil Warya or what - whom I don't really fancy his kind or style of talking and conducting such a program which seems to be uncalled for.
Talking about comparison to the topmost star or superstar of ours - the all-time fame Seniman Agung P.Ramlee - I think you as the host shouldn't have started to mention at all. How can you compare with that small-fry (only big in his physical size only) to a big name of all-time star like our Seniman Agung P.Ramlee - who can be referred as "Man for all seasons". It's very disgusting indeed to compare our great star with such a small-fry.
If so you do want to compare (referring to that host as well as that bloke, Selamba Kodok) - please be rational as what I am listing out several due comparisons to match with this so-called Selamba Kodok character.
Before you want to declare how good or outstanding or what as you think you are (just a damned "Syiok sendiri" kind of bloke) - please do compare yourself to:
1) Aziz M.Osman - as far as creativity wise - he's above you all the time. You are nowhere compared to him. So please don't boast or brag about yourself which carry nothing whatsoever. His ideas are totally very much appreciated. Records shown. He had produced plenty of well-received by many of his 'karya' in the form of films and TV dramas and sitcom.
Of course, he's a lot much better than you.
2) Osman Hafsham - Of course as sitcom or director of comedy films/dramas - he too is much more above you in every aspect of artworks. And people like Osman Hafsham never brag or boastful with regards to his mostly successful films or tv dramas for that matter. He got it from people who appreciated his works not just simply claim this and that out of nothing.
3) Ahmad Idham - as for film-directing other than comedy - as at current scenario, Ahmad Idham stand taller, much taller than you in every sense. He is much better and more popular as money-making film director with a Box-Office film director happened to be the most highest Box-Office collection so far. So, don't brag or think that you wannabe great as film director like the late P.Ramlee? Please compete with the current living artistes first i.e. those who are supposed to be your peers within the same platform. Bet you can never manage to beat any of them. And don't you realise that there are so many of them now in the same playing-fields that you too got to slog and play it hard man. Don't just brag your ego because of just wannabe at the top. People can read what's in your mind and what's your intention all these while. We people can notice through those of your film or whatever 'anugerah' nominations and finally the award you received which were not meant to be genuine in so many incidences that can be accounted for. Sorry to say.
4) Sabri Yunus - As for acting ability, just to choose one good example of an actor-cum-comedian-cum-host/pengacara - this character, Sabri Yunus is many times much better than you are, under those categories that you think you excel in. Maybe you may have received certain award locally which you may show to the world that's your so-called success - but as what have been said - it's so much questionable. Besides Sabri Yunus, there are many others (actors) that are still above you. Actors like Datuk Jalaluddin Hassan, Shukery Hashim, Datuk Rahim Razali, Datuk Ahmad Tarmimi Siregar, Jalil Hamid, M. Rajoli, Ridzuan Hashim, Mubarak Majid, Adi Putra, Aaron Aziz to name a few. You've to be above all others in order to be in top excellent position. Then you can say that you are now above them all - just in that category alone i.e. in the acting category (for male actors).
5) Adnan Abu Hassan & Pak Ngah etc - Currently there are so many outstanding and established song-composers and song-writers. Just because you managed to achieve award (Anugerah Juara Lagu for Best Song) just by chance or luck? or thru 'agenda terancang', doesn't mean that you can consider yourself already outstanding composer. For just one song - you don't have to boast or "dabek dada" because of such achievement (furthermore doubtful too). This was because we knew too well that that 'song of yours' which managed to win for the "Anugerah Juara Lagu" was only one week at the topchart - after which it was kicked out. Yet that 'song of yours' managed to be nominated and won the award (anugerah). Ridiculous as it was. We knew too well that there were so many good or better songs that managed to be at the top of the chart much longer than yours. Yet the one which happened to be yours being selected for nomination and finally managed to grab the award. People knew that you played your cards well for that.
So, just because of that doubtful achievement, please don't under-estimate those established composers like Adnan Abu Hassan, Pak Ngah and many more. They are very very much better than you. You're just a nothing compared to them. Please be what you are, who you are - "berpijak dibumi nyata" kata orang Melayu.
6) Bob, Zahid etc - In the singing category - just to mention quite newcomer to the scene such as Bob and Zahid as solo singer. Those two singers in terms of singing ability and good performance - they proved to be singing several songs including "lagu2 dendangan irama Melayu asli" are much more better than you - since they can perform any kind of songs which may attract more audience and fans of all ages. Of course, if they can perform singing and dancing in a 'live concert' show - they can be considered something extra than what you can in singing many kinds of beats and tempo including the "irama Melayu asli".
I wonder what's your popular song or songs sung and well-like by many i.e. people of all class and categories of age (young and old). How come you (including the host of Blog @ RTM1) simply declare that you are already a prominent singer (when you are just not that well-known throughout as yet - may be only restricted to that Bangsar area - may be) - sorry to defy that.
So, please don't simply claim on empty declarations (without any credits to your past records and performances). Don't you realise that it's so very difficult for a male singer to rise as a rising star. You can see for yourself how there are so many male singers around who are struggling so hard to climb to the top. Yet, you have the cheek to declare that you are somewhat considered a success in the singing arena. It's hard to believe. Seeing is believing. Don't bullshit your way through. This is not panel of a small group in an 'anugerah' community. This particular community involves the audience which consist of the public at large - for they are the real jury to give judgement. It's a big difference.
It's my frank views and opinions towards your appearance as guest blogger in the last program session at RTM1 last Sunday nite. Furthermore being one of the Malaysian audience, I simply cannot accept whatever misdeeds and misinformation of your actions and responds which may result in an awkward manner. You have to be as what you are and who you really are. No make-believe.
Cheerio.
adios,
Awang Dogoi
